I'd like to meet some madass owners and talk about mods.

I pop in occasionally. Not much in the way of mods, POC HMF exhaust and OO Racing rear shock. I have a 26mm carb from OO Racing I've yet to install.

I have the shock and steel pipes from ooracing. Installed the stage one tuneup kit which includes the carb.

Im contemplating about installing the 160cc engine from ooracing.

Cool bike man.

Is that like a YX160 or 140 engine? I have plans to swap over for the ooracing 160cc 1360 charger 2 valve engine.

I bet your bike is loud as f**kcrackers with that pipe lol

How much did you pick that one up for?

Yeah its a YX160
Its loud but, but I like it that way so other cars know I'm on the road.
I've been pulled over for RBC sometimes but they don't seem to mind they look at it and think its cool.
Paid about 2k probably a bit too much for it.

Are you going to install the engine yourself? Or get someone to do it?

I'm looking for someone in Melbourne who can service these problematic Chinese YX160 engines.

It's a bolt on engine according to Adrian from OORACING. Probably rewiring things and moving things about like the pegs and what not to get the clearance.

I've got friends helping me out.

I'm thinking about starting a Madass Page for Australian Owners - for rides and swap parts and stuff what not. Dunno where all the madass owners are.

Where abouts are you located in melb?

I'm in SE suburbs.

Good luck with the build, I hear wiring can be a nightmare.

I've seen a few of them around, more common in the city...

Wiring wasnt too much of an issue.

We have the engine mounted on and we just got the engine firing today. Just gotta rewire some of the cables to get the neutral light to flick on and need to bend the rear brake pedal to suit new footstand.

Cannot wait to ride this thing of a beast.

Oh cool good to hear its up and running post some photos!

You will find you get a lot of looks going down the freeway at 100kmph on a Madass especially from kids they know fun when they see it.

I take it your frame was from a 125 because you had the neutral light, the 50 didn't have a neutral light on their display.

I was thinking of putting the 125 display on and wire up the neutral light but with N-1-2-3-4 you know when your in neutral anyway...

It looks like he cut the stock exhaust pipe, removing the muffler & added a downturn exhaust tip, should be good for a little more power, but it will be loud I'm sure.

Hi I'm in Bendigo, about 150kms North of Melbourne. Just bought a 125 MA. Loving it so far, it's so light and fun, and it fits in my tiny shed. Next week I'm fitting a new muffler, bigger Molkt carb and new air filter and drilling out the cat converter. Hopefully get me a bit more acceleration. I only use it for a commute to work (50 and 60 zones) but plan to have plenty of fun while doing it.

New Vic owner here!
Not yet had it a week, brand new 2015 model.
Looking forward to getting to know the bike, seems perfect for my needs about town. (Also thinking about planning a highway-free trip to the goldfields)
