VIC owners

Postby rumbo » 17 Jul 2010 01:57

Hi,

Black Madass 125 owner in VIC here.
Had it for around 11 months, still barely under warranty.
Had a few problems with it in that time, the most current of which is that the electric starter wont engage. Going to take it down to get fixed before warranty is up.
Other than that, I'm fairly happy with it. It's my first motorbike and will be handy to have even after I upgrade to something with more power.
Will be going for my full license by the end of the year.

Looking forward to learning more about the MA from a bunch of fellow enthusiasts. Maybe even meet some of you in VIC and go for a ride!

I'm at Yallambie, which is about 30 minutes from you.
Always up for a meet up and ride. I've also got a RC8 1190 if you have other bikes as well.

I live in Melbourne CBD and would always be up for a ride sometime...

I own a black 125 MadAss which has taken me all over Vicco...

Once I've upgraded it I'm going to ride around Oz...

I've just purchased a 2008 125 for my GF. So now onto modding it!

We both have a Postie bike each but she wanted to slightly upgrade to a Madass so she can have a pillion. I commute 20k's each way on my postie but will take the Madass for a run every now and then too.

I'll take some pics once I pick it up.

I love those damn bikes. Wish they sold them over here. You see them from time to time but usually the CT70 or CT90 and who knows how much they were abused.

They're fun bikes to ride and we've taken them on a few dirt roads and gravel paths. Mine's unhealthy at the moment, very little compression, probably rings gone. So I'm going to let it lapse and get my spare up and running to replace it then sell off the sickie.

Here's a pic of the Madass from one of the online ads. It's got a torn seat and the front mudguard has a crack so I'll be hunting replacements down. I ended up winning it on ebay for quite a bit cheaper than their sales ad. :)

Aight Vic Madassers!
Stop dragging your feet!!
PM me if you're interested in a meet up!

I'm like 3 weeks MAX off of having my new engine in and am getting itchy for a meet-up / cruise!
I'll be meeting Lurker Mid next week, then getting on the case for others from there.

i check on here every now and again, as for carby tuning save me writing a endless post that would prob be wrong and misleading theres a few car tuning tip guides
http://www.pitbikeclub.co.uk/showthread.php?t=61954 to name just 1
but keep in mind that you would be better of starting with a genuine mikuni rather than say a 30mm molkt copy, the good quality carbs dont require such fine tuning i have found

have a look at some guides and try some adjustments just search pitbike carb settings/adjustment rather than searching for regular motorbike carb as they wont know know all the little tips and tricks that are for these little bikes

@Lurker, yep, I bought the set with the mikuni little one (VM26?).

I might have a go at ripping everything off this saturday and see how things work. Sprocket and Exhaust is on, just this and CDI to go. Already pushed it to 104km/h with sprocket change.
